In November, 2013, construction works for the Diakoniewerk Bethanien building at Buckhauserstrasse  in Zurich-Altstetten have started. The 40 meter high-rise building integrates the new Bethanien headquarters as well as a palliative care unit, a health and a daycare center, a hotel, a restaurant, service spaces and conference rooms. With its progressive urban mixture of uses, the new building will also have a positive impact upon the further development of its environment which actually consists of traditional nine-to-five office buildings. Completion will be in 2015.
