Learning Landscapes - Leibnitz University Hanover

Keynote Lecture by Piet Eckert

Piet Eckert hold a keynote speech within Typology Talks #1 on the topic of Learning Landscapes on October 20th, 2021. The Talk was organized and moderated by Studio Kempe Thill (Leibnitz University Hanover). Guests were Piet Eckert (E2A), Kees Kaan (KAAN Architecten Rotterdam), Yvonne Farrell & Shelley McNamara (Grafton Architects Dublin).

Based on the overriding questions, we ask ourselves: Is there a “typological optimum” for aspects such as building organization, internal logistics, spatial backbone, flexible structure, compactness, and energy performance? What influence do factors such as the particular ideal of social education, the context, and location or the spatial and typological organization of the objects have on their success or failure?
